The House Has a Body

14 October – 14 November 2026 · Gallery 44, London. The House Has a Body brings together Marisa Müsing, Hayfa Algwaiz and Monya Riachi, considering how domestic spaces hold emotion, memory and traces of lived experience.

Ground Floor and Basement map a site visit in the sequence in which the body moved through the space. They trace corridors, stairs, shifts of light and changes of colour between rooms. Sharp lines and blurred passages echo the way spaces are remembered, inviting the viewer to enter one place from two different points of view.

Ground Floor and Basement are made with oil paint and pencil on linen canvas. Photography: Ari Murad. © Gallery 44. Exhibition text: Shirin Fathi.
