About

These Walls That Protect Us marks the culmination of Myriame Dachraoui’s residency at Gallery 44, a London townhouse that functions as both setting and structure for the exhibition.

Created during her one-month residency, the paintings explore protection through space: the home as shelter, boundary and psychological landscape, and the subtle tension between being held and being contained. Shifting between expansive scenes and intimate interior details, they guide you through the townhouse room by room.
